Pushpa 2 has emerged as a commercial powerhouse, earning over ₹1,233 crore net in India and a staggering ₹1,738 crore globally. It has surpassed mega-hits like Baahubali 2, KGF 2, and RRR, positioning itself as the second-highest-grossing Indian film worldwide after Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which minted ₹2,040 crore.
About Pushpa 2: The Rule
Pushpa 2: The Rule is a Telugu-language action-drama directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers alongside Sukumar Writings.
Starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, the film also features Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Ajay.
A sequel to Pushpa: The Rise (2021), this film continues the journey of Pushpa Raj, a coolie who ascends to become a powerful sandalwood smuggler while clashing with formidable enemies, including SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS.
OTT Release and Exclusive Extended Cut
After a two-month domination at the box office, Pushpa 2 concludes its theatrical run on January 29, 2025. The blockbuster will debut on Netflix on January 30, 2025.
Currently, it will only be available in four languages — Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam — leaving Hindi-speaking audiences disappointed.
However, Netflix will offer an exclusive extended cut of the film, featuring 23 minutes of never-before-seen footage. With its heightened drama and immersive storytelling, this special version promises a must-watch experience for fans.
