PM Modi Assures Full Support to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his assurance to the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, promising the Centre's full support in managing the crisis triggered by the heavy rainfall. Officials revealed that PM Modi engaged in phone conversations with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, discussing the situation and pledging assistance to tackle the floods and relentless downpour.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the Centre would extend all possible assistance to help the states surmount the challenges brought on by the torrential rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Officials further reported that nine individuals lost their lives in separate rain-related incidents across Telangana, where the heavy downpour persisted, particularly in Hyderabad. In response, the Telangana Chief Minister convened an emergency review meeting, coordinating with ministers and overseeing relief operations in the inundated areas.

Meanwhile, the unprecedented rainfall in Andhra Pradesh over the past 48 hours has severely disrupted daily life, particularly in Vijayawada and surrounding regions, forcing the evacuation of 17,000 people across the state.
