In a landmark moment for women’s cricket, India will compete in their first-ever women’s Test match at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London against England in 2026. Known as the Home of Cricket, Lord’s has been the venue for some of the sport’s most historic moments, including World Cup finals and marquee Test matches. This match will mark India’s return to red-ball cricket on English soil after five years, their last appearance being in 2021.
Before this historic Test, the Indian women’s team will visit the UK in 2025 for a white-ball series. The tour will feature eight matches in June and July, including five T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals against England.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that India Women will return in 2026 for the one-off Test at Lord’s. While the ground has hosted white-ball matches involving the England women’s team for the past three years, this will be the first time it stages a Women’s Test match, according to an ECB statement.
