Mumbai’s Bandra Police recently registered a case after a disturbing threat was made against Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The caller, still unidentified, warned of an assassination plot against Khan, demanding ₹50 lakh. This incident marks yet another high-profile security alert in the film industry, following recent threats aimed at actor Salman Khan.
The Bandra Police received the call through a police landline, triggering immediate involvement from the Cyber Police Station, which is now assisting with the investigation.
Actor’s Safety Under Scrutiny Amid Escalating Threats
The case has been filed under Sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Officials are working urgently to track down the source of the threat and guarantee the safety of the involved actors.
“A threatening call targeting Shah Rukh Khan demanded ₹50 lakh. We have filed a case but no arrests have been made so far,” a senior police officer reported to PTI.
Sources suggest the call has been traced to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. In response, investigative teams have been dispatched to the location to pursue further leads.
Salman Khan’s Similar Encounter with Danger
Only days earlier, on November 5, a death threat targeting Salman Khan surfaced, allegedly sent by the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In a WhatsApp message to Mumbai’s Police Traffic Control Room, the gang reportedly issued Khan an ultimatum: apologize publicly or pay ₹5 crore to avoid deadly repercussions.
“If Salman Khan wants to live, he should apologize at our temple or pay ₹5 crore. If he fails to comply, we will kill him. Our gang remains active,” the message allegedly from Bishnoi’s brother declared.
The incidents highlight increasing concerns over the safety of Bollywood icons, as authorities strive to tighten security measures and apprehend those behind these alarming threats.
