Samsung has officially begun laptop manufacturing in India, starting production at its Greater Noida facility. This marks a big expansion of the company’s local portfolio, which already includes smartphones, tablets, wearables, and feature phones.
The laptops—expected to include Samsung Galaxy Book series will now be assembled in India, strengthening the government’s Make in India vision.
Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw welcomed the move, saying Samsung’s decision highlights India’s growing role as a hub for advanced electronics manufacturing.
