Reliance Jio Unveils New Rs 198 Plan, Bolstering Jio 5G Offerings and Raising Concerns for BSNL

Reliance Jio has launched a new Rs 198 plan, aimed at enhancing its competitive edge in the market. This plan offers unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 2GB of Jio 5G data daily, with a validity of 14 days. Positioned alongside Jio’s other plans, including the Rs 189 and Rs 199 options, this new plan highlights the company’s commitment to providing varied and cost-effective services.

Despite its short validity, the Rs 198 plan from Jio is poised to be a significant addition to the Jio 5G lineup. It’s designed to appeal to a wide audience, especially given its price point under Rs 200. Jio anticipates this plan will increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) while reinforcing its position in the 5G market.

Though not the cheapest in Jio’s arsenal, the Rs 198 plan stands out for its comprehensive benefits. Jio’s Rs 189 plan is the most affordable, but for just a small increase, users can opt for the Rs 199 plan, which offers slightly longer validity. Here’s a breakdown of what these Jio 5G plans include:

Jio 198 Prepaid Plan

The Rs 198 prepaid plan by Jio comes with a 14-day validity, featuring unlimited Jio voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and 2GB of Jio 5G data daily. Subscribers also gain access to Jio TV, Jio Cinema, and Jio Cloud, making this plan accessible across India. The Rs 199 plan offers an 18-day validity, with 1.5GB of Jio 5G data daily, 100 SMS per day, and unlimited calling, alongside similar access to Jio’s popular apps.

Jio’s Most Affordable Option

The Rs 189 plan, often favored for its low cost, is Jio’s cheapest offering. It provides users with 2GB of Jio 5G data, unlimited Jio calls, and 300 SMS over 28 days, along with full access to Jio’s suite of apps. With the inclusion of 5G data, this plan is an attractive option for users seeking affordability without sacrificing Jio 5G connectivity and features.
