Mukesh Ambani, the prominent industrialist and owner of Reliance Industries, has given Jio users a significant update. Recently, Reliance Jio, his telecom company, raised the prices of its recharge plans, which caused considerable discontent among users.
Price Hike and User Feedback
On July 3, Reliance Jio surprised users by increasing the prices of its recharge plans by 12.5 percent to 25 percent. This price hike left many users unhappy. Responding to user feedback, the company has re-launched its most popular plan, now priced at Rs 349.
Introducing the Hero 5G Plan
The reintroduced plan is named Hero 5G, featuring several benefits to compensate for the price increase:
- Extended Validity of Hero 5G Plan: The plan's validity has been extended from 28 days to 30 days, providing users with 2 extra days.
- Unlimited Calling and SMS: It includes unlimited calling and 100 SMS daily.
- Unlimited 5G Data: Users with a 5G smartphone and access to Jio’s True 5G service can enjoy unlimited 5G data.
- Daily Data Allowance: The plan offers 2GB of data daily, increasing the total data from 56GB to 60GB.
Initially priced at Rs 299, this plan was raised to Rs 349 on July 3.

- 2GB of data daily
- 100 SMS per day
- Unlimited calls
These changes highlight Jio's efforts to balance pricing with added value in response to user feedback.
