The latest installment in the esteemed Cop Universe, Singham Again, is demonstrating remarkable resilience at the box office. On its third day post-release, the film accrued an impressive ₹50 crore globally, pushing its total earnings to ₹176 crore. It is now on the cusp of reaching the ₹200 crore benchmark.
As the third chapter in the Singham saga that commenced with the acclaimed 2011 film, Singham Again has already eclipsed the lifetime revenue of its predecessor, which grossed ₹157 crore. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has generated ₹121 crore net (₹146 crore gross) in India within its first three days, while international markets contributed approximately $3.6 million (₹30 crore), culminating in the aforementioned global total.
Released concurrently with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on November 1, Singham Again has secured a significant advantage by dominating the screen count in India. Trade experts indicate that the film occupied around 60% of available screens at launch, compared to the 40% allocated to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. This distribution has translated into a commendable occupancy rate of 60-65% throughout the opening weekend.
The critical test now lies in the forthcoming Monday, which will serve as a litmus test for the film’s sustained success. Benefiting from the Diwali holiday rush, Singham Again experienced a robust opening. Nonetheless, a decrease in audience turnout on Monday is anticipated, and the magnitude of this decline will ultimately dictate the film’s trajectory moving forward.
