A day after actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Mumbai residence, authorities have detained a suspect following an extensive manhunt. The operation involved leveraging technical data and deploying police informants throughout the city's commercial hub.

This morning's footage revealed the suspect being escorted to the Bandra police station. However, little is known about him, and it remains unclear whether he is the same individual responsible for the attack on Khan at his home the previous day.

No arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing and burglary incident as of yet.

Sources report that the suspect was spotted near the Bandra railway station shortly after the assault. Law enforcement believes he may have changed his attire to avoid detection. In response, the police established 20 teams to collect technical evidence and utilize informants to track down the perpetrator.

Search efforts have also extended to the areas of Vasai and Nalasopara, as investigators pursue the assailant who left Khan bleeding following their confrontation. Authorities claim the intruder intended to rob the actor's residence at ‘Satguru Sharan,' a 12-story building situated in Bandra's affluent neighborhood, where Khan occupies four floors.

It is suspected that the intruder was familiar with one of the domestic workers in the Khan household, granting him unauthorized access to the building without triggering the lobby's CCTV system. Investigators believe the assailant knew the building's layout and utilized the fire shaft to reach the upper floors, scaling a neighboring compound's wall to gain entry.

The break-in, which lasted 30 minutes, occurred on the building's 11th floor. During this time, Khan and the house staff attempted to fend off the intruder. The actor's nanny, who tried to intervene, sustained injuries, and Khan himself sustained six wounds during the struggle. After losing a significant amount of blood, he was urgently transported to a nearby hospital and underwent surgery. He is now stable and out of danger.

Footage from the building's CCTV system captured the intruder on the sixth floor as he descended the stairs. Authorities suspect he used the fire shaft to escape undetected, which explains why he was not seen exiting the premises.

The attack has raised concerns about the efficacy of security personnel in the upscale Bandra area and has sparked political criticism regarding the city's law-and-order situation.

The Mumbai Police have filed charges of robbery, trespassing, and causing grievous harm in relation to the incident.
