Smartphones have significantly simplified our lives, leading to a surge in their numbers. However, this has also led to an increase in smartphone thefts and related fraud. According to government statistics, around 50,000 mobile phones are stolen each month in India. These thefts can occur anywhere – on a bus, train, or in a market.

When a mobile is stolen, the biggest concern is the potential leak of personal and financial data. Criminals can misuse your SIM card for illegal activities.

Paytm

If you use the Paytm app, call the helpline number 01204456456 to block your Paytm UPI ID. After verifying your information, Paytm will temporarily block your UPI ID.

Understanding UPI

UPI (Unified Payment Interface) is a real-time payment system that allows money transfers between bank accounts 24/7, free of charge. There is no minimum amount required for money transfers. To use UPI, you need payment apps like PhonePe, Paytm, Google Pay, or Bhim App linked to your bank account. These apps enable easy and convenient money transfers.
